1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Getnomik Pvt Ltd ("Getnomik", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of India with its principal place of business in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

By creating an account, accessing, or using any Getnomik product — including DigiLog, Nomiq, and LawDock — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Services

Getnomik operates a suite of legal technology products:

• DigiLog — a digital logbook and register management system for notaries and legal professionals, accessible at digilog.getnomik.com
• Nomiq — a legal document connection and workflow platform for lawyers and clients, accessible at nomiq.getnomik.com
• LawDock — a CRM and practice management system for legal professionals, accessible at lawdock.getnomik.com

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.

3. Eligibility

To use Getnomik services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a legal professional, law firm, notary, or authorised staff member of such an entity
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements under applicable law
• Not be prohibited from using our services under any applicable laws or regulations

By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
• Notify us immediately at contact@getnomik.com of any unauthorised access or breach
• Not share your login credentials with unauthorised persons
• Not create multiple accounts for the same individual or entity without prior written consent

Getnomik is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our services to:

• Upload or transmit false, misleading, or fraudulent legal records
• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or professional code of conduct
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems or another user's data
• Introduce malware, viruses, or other malicious code
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from our software
• Use our services for any purpose other than legitimate legal practice and administration

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these provisions without prior notice.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, software, trademarks, and materials made available through Getnomik products — including but not limited to DigiLog, Nomiq, and LawDock — are the exclusive property of Getnomik Pvt Ltd or its licensors and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of all data, documents, and client records you upload to our platform. By uploading content, you grant Getnomik a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of our software or platform without express written permission from Getnomik.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of Getnomik services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Given the sensitive nature of legal data, we apply strict security controls including encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access control, and comprehensive audit logging. However, no system is completely immune from risk, and we encourage you to apply appropriate safeguards on your end as well.

8. Payment & Billing

Certain Getnomik products and features are offered on a subscription or pay-per-use basis. Where applicable:

• Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle as selected at the time of subscription
• All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes (including GST), which will be added where required by law
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 7 days before the renewal date
• Refunds are at our discretion and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis
• We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' written notice

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the account relationship at any time. You may cancel your account by contacting us at contact@getnomik.com. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if:

• You materially breach these Terms
• We are required to do so by law or a regulatory authority
• Continued access poses a security or legal risk to us or other users

Upon termination, you may request an export of your data within 30 days. After this period, we may permanently delete your data in accordance with our data retention policies.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Getnomik Pvt Ltd and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of — or inability to use — our services.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹5,000, whichever is greater.

Getnomik does not provide legal advice. Our products are tools to assist legal professionals — they do not substitute for professional legal judgement, and we accept no liability for any legal outcomes arising from their use.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the product at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of our services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
